We used this to punch sushi wrappers. It makes a nice pattern. You need to be very careful with lining up the loops so that it punches correctly. We used two thin sheets of paper to support the sushi wrapper (like a sandwich)...otherwise the wrapper would get jammed in the punch. It turned out very well with the extra sheets. We are not using it as a decoration for the edge of a piece of paper. When you line it up right, it will punch out a decorative strip of loops that can be wrapped around a cylinder like a piece of sushi. It's not strong enough to serve as the wrapper...just to serve as a decorative band for a wrapper. The punch seems robust. Hopefully it will last a while. This punch works great. I used it to create a decorative border on the top of 100 invitations printed on 65# cardstock for a church function. I read some reviews that said it was difficult to line up the paper properly, but for my use, I didn't have any trouble. My invitations were 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (standard letter size cut into quarters). I centered the punch on the top of the paper for the first punch, then used the alignment guides to continue the pattern on either side. This worked very well. I only had trouble when I tried to punch two pieces of paper at a time to speed up the process. This made the punch stick down, but all I did was flip the punch over and use a thin metal utensil to push the punch back to the open position. The papers I was punching were not damaged at all. I found the punch did not produce a very crisp cut on lightweight copy paper, but maybe it would perform better by punching 2 sheets at once. Even after all the use I already got out of it, there are no signs of it getting dull.I saw my friend used this punch for her craft projects, and I went to local hobby stores and couldn't find it. I came to Amazon, and glad to know they have it still. I immediately bought it and it arrived quickly. Its design is so cute, and you can save the center heart that was punched out later for your projects. Less paper is wasted this way. It's easy to use and line up the paper with the guidelines on the sides. I just wish this punch has a corner punch to it as well.So far, the punch doesn't been stuck so let's hope this lasts for awhile with careful use.Good for up to 110lb paper. It will work choppy on 140lb paper. It doesn't work well on a very thin paper because the paper might jam in the tiny holes.Making cardsGreat punch for Valentines cards, Wedding cards, Anniversary Cards, scrapbooking projects or any other love-related occasion! It gives a lovely, lacy design. The only negative about MS punches, and I say this about most of them, is that the punched item will fall out, but you need to clean a lot of the leftover paper from the bottom of the punch with a tweezers, or piercing tool, which is kind of annoying. When I first saw this item, none of the stores in town carried it, so I had to either order from Martha Stewart's site or Amazon and pay S&H. Michael's Craft store now has the item which would be half the price, and even less if you use their coupon!Martha Stewart is not much of a voice in the paper crafting world these days, but her punches never disappoint! The quality is very good, the design is lovely and it is easy to use and store. I am using this to cut out the borders in a junk journal I'm making. It gives nice, crisp cuts. I definitely recommend it.I purchased this edger punch because I was tired of cutting the message out with an exactoknife. I am very please with this device and have shared it with my friends who also make items. I just with they would create other punches that say "congratulations', thank you, thinking of you, get well, and maybe love you.I would recommend this punch because it is easy to use and is well constructed. Thank you to the Martha Stewart company for making my crafting easier. I hope they create more sayings because I will purchase them for sure. This Crochet Loop deep edge punch, not to be confused with the PATP with the same name, is an excellent punch. The punched edge extends approximately 1-1/8". MS punches are of the highest quality; they have a certain amount of heft to them & they punch cleanly. The edge punches allow for punching a continuous border for as long as your paper is. You punch, then slide your paper until the punched image covers the image that is on the punch wings. If you haven't used these punches before, they are easy to use, but check out YouTube to get the general idea. Another neat feature is the fold up wings that allow for easier storage.I have a large number of punches from Martha Stewart, Fiskars, EK Success, Rayher, Vaessen, EFCO, amongst others. This one is in my top 3 of the most beautiful results. However it does have a few drawbacks that should come as a warning. Construction of the punch is good but not excellent. The lever is badly designed and hurts the hand while using. Also it's not all that durable as in my first one the lever broke and I had to buy another. Also the intricate design is very small. and like all these punches the metal will wear out so don't expect a big lifetime and useability out of this one. Over time it will start to get stuck and destroy paper instead of punching a lot faster than other punches. While it works thought the result is fantastic. This is a good quality punch, it is very well made and easy to use. It always lines up to punch perfectly. I have removed a star because while it works great on cardstock it does not puch pearlescent paper well at all, which is a disappointment to me as I always make inserts for my cards from pearlescent paper. I have other brands of corner punches that do punch it well, but to be fair to this brand I will say that the Fiskars Avant Edge and Interchangable Border Punches do not punch pearlescent paper any better either. I do have other Martha Stewart border punches and will buy more and would happily recommend them to anyone.Fantastic value. Fantastic results Punch gives a clean crisp cut. Easy to use not much pressure needed even on fairly thick card. The border is very pretty when punched and gives a lovely edge to a card or poster. With care the little hearts can be cut out individually. Friends have asked to borrow it when they have seen the results. As always Martha Stewart products never disappoint me this is a really lovely punch and very good quality ..I always buy Martha Stewart products because of the good quality and because of the reasonable price ..would recommend this punch is lovely makes a beautifull job I have more Martha Stewart products in my craft room than anything else ! Would recommend you won't be disappointedPurchased for my wife, who has used. Very happy with the results - occasionally there are one or two small tags of paper left post ‘stamping’ but generally good all round. Solid / heavy stamp. Would by again from this supplier
