Features Fast Idle Button The fast idle button can be used to advance throttle without shifting into gear. With control lever in Neutral, push on fast idle button(cover) to open throttle for starting and warm-up. Improved Throttle & Shift Control With control handle in Neutral and fast idle feature not activated, move control handle to Forward gear or Reverse gear position. Continue movement of control handle in same direction to open (advance) throttle. Adjustable Throttle Friction Move the control handle to Forward throttle range. Control handle should move freely. Adjust control handle friction adjustment to prevent vibration from changing throttle setting. Turn adjustment screw clockwise to increase the friction or counterclockwise to reduce the friction. Features Problem Detection Warning Horn The warning horn sounds to alert operator when certain engine problems occur. A 1/2-second self-test beep should sound when the key switch is turned ON. After many days of researching these gen 2 units i learned they are all Chinese units with a specific companies logo added. BUT after close inspection i determined that VEVOR is the winner. It seems like vevor listened to the bad reviews and fixed the biggest problem, the high idle lever. It seems like vevor removed the cheep factory lever and replaced it with a much stronger lever. You can tell by the nesting place on the unit doesn't quite match the lever but thats a good thing because its been improved and feels solid, the frame of the unit almost feels like its metal or good quality plastic “ tough critic approved”. The shifting motion feels strong meaning good. Not only that but the lever can be swapped left or right and rotated also so the trim button is always by the thumb no matter if the lever is on the left or right. The only problem i had was the ring nut that holds the ignition tight was to cheep to function BUT my simple solution to that was to re use the old one off my old unit BRILLIANT. After not knowing if i waisted my money or not, I've determined this was a good purchase and im happy with it. I still have my doubts with all the other gen 2 units but this brand VEVOR seems like the one to buy.
