We used this to punch sushi wrappers. It makes a nice pattern. You need to be very careful with lining up the loops so that it punches correctly. We used two thin sheets of paper to support the sushi wrapper (like a sandwich)...otherwise the wrapper would get jammed in the punch. It turned out very well with the extra sheets. We are not using it as a decoration for the edge of a piece of paper. When you line it up right, it will punch out a decorative strip of loops that can be wrapped around a cylinder like a piece of sushi. It's not strong enough to serve as the wrapper...just to serve as a decorative band for a wrapper. The punch seems robust. Hopefully it will last a while.
